Rachie’s multidisciplinary work explores the blurred lines between nudes, sex and societal norms. Her work focuses on ideas of the male form, the female mind and how social and cultural constructs influence both.

Rachie studied graphic design at Massey University, Wellington, NZ. She completed her thesis on everyday mainstream sexist advertising in public spaces, from there she became interested in producing work that portrays woman’s perspectives and desires considering they are often not the dominant viewpoint. After moving to London in 2005 she studied oil painting at Central Saint Martins while working as a graphic designer. She is also VJ RasKal, VJing events around Wellington with a sexy saucy twist.
